Process of Implantation:

• Morula Formation: After a few days of cell division, the zygote becomes a ball of cells called a morula.

• Implantation: The blastocyst (considered an embryo at this stage) travels to the uterus and implants itself into the lining of the uterus.

According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), implantation is the prominent step that initiates the pregnancy by allowing the embryo to connect with the mother's blood supply for nourishment.
